______________________________________________________________________________ Call for papers CNACYS’23: Complex Network Analysis for Cybersecurity Special session @ EICC’23 : European Interdisciplinary Cybersecurity conference Stavanger, Norway, June 14-15, 2023 Website: https://www.fvv.um.si/eicc2023/cnacys/ ______________________________________________________________________________ * (Extended deadline) Submission deadline: March 01, 2023 * Submission site: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=eicc2023 Context ======= The Internet, the Web, on-line social networks and almost all interactions in cyberspace can be modeled as complex networks sharing untrivial topological features such as sparseness, small-world features, a heterogeneous degree distribution, and a high clustering coefficient. Complex network analysis has raised a lot of attention in recent years in a wide variety of fields including social, technological, biological, and power-grid networks. A rich algorithmic arsenal is already available to gain insights from such networks including identifying influential or vulnerable actors, link prediction, anomalies detection, community identification as well as understanding and predicting spreading phenomena on such networks. This special session aims at providing a venue for sharing the latest advances in applying complex networks analysis to cybersecurity. List of topics ============== A non-exhaustive list of topics includes: * Complex network analysis for: intrusion detection, botnet activity detection, anomaly detection for network security and management, network traffic analysis * Attack graphs modeling and application, graph-based threat assessment * Multiplex and multilayer network analysis for cyber security * Autoencoders and representation learning for graphs * Network embedding techniques for network security and management problems * Parallel algorithms for dynamic and large-scale complex network * Network sampling and summarizing techniques, * Explainable network analysis approaches for cybersecurity * Visualization of dynamic and large-scale networks Submission guidelines ===================== The official language of the conference is English. Papers are limited to 6 pages. All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome: * Full papers reporting on original research findings (5-6 pages) * Short papers reporting on original research findings (2-4 pages) * Posters (extended abstracts) reporting on original research findings (1-2 pages) The conference will offer a Best paper award and Best poster award. The awards will be announced and bestowed at the conference closing session. The award will be conferred to the author(s) of awarded papers who will be present at the conference. The decision criterion will consider both the paper/poster quality and the oral presentation quality. Papers submitted to EICC 2023 have to use the ACM SigConf template <https://www.acm.org/publications/proceedings-template>. All submitted research papers will undergo a *double-blind* reviewing process. Please, make sure that submitted papers do not contain author names or obvious self-references. Please follow submission guidelines for EICC 2023: https://www.fvv.um.si/eicc2023/ Each paper will be reviewed by 2-3 reviewers. Afterwards, a discussion will be held by the chairs and reviewers to determine the outcomes of the peer-review. Submission of a paper implies that at least one of the authors will register and present the paper at the conference if the paper is accepted. Submit papers using the EICC 2023 submission system <https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=eicc2023>. Please select the CNACYS Track when submitting your paper. Important dates ================ Submission deadline: March 01, 2023 Author Notification: March 24, 2023 Camera Ready: April 9, 2023 Organisation ============ Martin Atzmueller, Osnabrück University & German Research Center for AI (DFKI), Germany Rushed Kanawati, Univ. Sorbonne Paris Nord / LIPN CNRS UMR 7030, France Program Committee ================= See session web site: https://www.fvv.um.si/eicc2023/cnacys/
