================ Please consider to contribute to and/or forward to the appropriate groups the following opportunity to submit and publish original scientific results to: Special issue on Collective Intelligence and Knowledge Exploration - International Journal of Data Science and Analysis The paper submission deadline is April 30, 2021. More details about this Special Issue can be found at: https://www.springer.com/journal/41060/updates/17822970 CALL FOR PAPERS International Journal of Data Science and Analytics (Springer) SPECIAL ISSUE: “Collective Intelligence and Knowledge Exploration” GUEST EDITORS: - Richard Chbeir (Université de Pau et des Pays de l'Adour, France) (richard.chbeir(a)univ-pau.fr) - Mirjana Ivanovic (University of Novi Sad, Serbia) (mira(a)dmi.uns.ac.rs) - Yannis Manolopoulos (Open University of Cyprus, Cyprus) (yannis.manolopoulos(a)ouc.ac.cy) - Rajendra Prasath (Indian Institute of Information Technology, India) (drrprasath(a)gmail.com) - Salma Sassi (University of Jendouba, Tunisia) ( salma.sassi(a)fsjegj.rnu.tn) AIMS AND SCOPE This special issue seeks high-quality papers focusing on the frontiers of human intelligence mining toward building a body of knowledge in this key domain. The focus is to present state-of-the-art in mining collective intelligence and knowledge exploration and development related to methodologies, techniques, approaches and successful applications. We seek to receive research papers focusing on learning to explore smart and intelligent systems. The contributions of this special issue have to mark a paradigm shift from "data-centered pattern mining" to "domain-driven actionable knowledge Discovery (AKD)" for next-generation Knowledge discovery in Databases (KDD) research and applications. The special issue has to identify how mining human intelligence techniques can better contribute to critical domain problems in practice, and strengthen society intelligence in complex problems. It also focuses on challenges and directions for future mining human intelligence research and development. This special issue is open to new original research submissions in the area of Collective Intelligence and Knowledge Exploration. TOPICS OF INTEREST Manuscripts addressing a wide range of topics on collective intelligence and knowledge Exploration including but not limited to the following are solicited: Topics focusing on developing workable AKD methodologies, including: * Evolutionary computation * Computational intelligence * Computational security * Knowledge Exploration in IoT * Knowledge integration * Knowledge representation * Knowledge-based system * Experience-based Knowledge Exploration * Uncertainties in Knowledge Exploration * Medical image analysis, Pattern analysis and Computer vision * Artificial intelligence * Intelligent security systems * Advances in Machine Learning * Algorithms for Intelligent Learning * Context aware techniques * Smart and Intelligent systems * Speech and Signal processing Topics focusing on novel KDD domains and the corresponding techniques, exploring the mining of emergent areas and domains such as: * Data mining and Information retrieval * Distributed Mining of Human expertise * Text mining and Natural language processing * Learning to Data/Text mining * Real-time applications of text mining * Data mining for social networks * Events Extraction in Unstructured Text mining * Visual analytics for text mining /exploration * Knowledge Discovery from Data IMPORTANT DATES * Submission system opening: February 15th, 2021 * Submission system closing: April 30th, 2021 * First review notification: June 30th, 2021 * Resubmission of revised manuscript: July 30th, 2021 * Final notification due: 30th of August2021 * Camera ready deadline: 1st of September, 2021 SUBMISSION GUIDELINES Papers submitted to this special issue must be original, not published and not currently under review by other journals or conferences. Nicolas Dugué & Anthony Perez (Guest editors) ======================================================= Full version of the CFP: https://www.mdpi.com/journal/algorithms/special_issues/Community_Detection_… The purpose of this Special Issue is to emphasize work focusing on theoretical and practical contributions to community detection or network embedding . The Special Issue will pay great attention to the scalability of the algorithm, the fairness, interpretability and reproducibility of the results, as well as to ecological considerations. Last but not least, this Special Issue will not promote performance over original and meaningful ideas. This Special Issue is opened but not limited to the following topics: Community detection algorithms Overlapping communities Incremental community detection Directed, dynamic, multiplex graphs Network embedding Fairness and interpretability in network science Image and signal processing using graph techniques Natural language processing using graph techniques Manuscript Submission Information For further details on the submission process, please see Instructions for Authors at the journal website (http://www.mdpi.com/journal/algorithms/instructions) All papers will be peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website. Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Algorithms is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
