Distinctions

Adeline Nazarenko, Professor at LIPN, has been appointed as the new Director of the CNRS Institute for Information Sciences and Technologies (INS2I).

Adeline Nazarenko, a member of the Knowledge Representation and Natural Language (RCLN) research team and a Professor at LIPN/Institut Galilée, has been appointed Director of the CNRS INS2I, effective February 1, 2023. She has been a member of LIPN since 1996, where she also completed her PhD in 1994 under the supervision of Daniel Kayser. Her research focuses on semantic text analysis, information access methods, and natural language processing (NLP) for the legal domain.

It is a joy for me to return to the Institute and the entire INS2I community. The challenges are numerous: they relate to the constant renewal inherent in the information sciences, the increasing interactions with other scientific fields, and the expectations and questions of a society undergoing both environmental and digital transitions.

Congratulations, Adeline, and we wish you the very best in this new chapter!
