GdT demain

Hello! Tomorrow we will meet at 10:30am in B107. BBB link: https://bbb.lipn.univ-paris13.fr/b/rog-vao-uwm-s2j Last week I gave an introduction to categorical semantics, explaining the standard way that formulas-in-context are interpreted as subobjects, allowing us to interpret "geometric formulas" in any (Grothendieck) topos, and hence define models of "geometric theories". This background can be found in much more detail in chapters D1.1-1.3 of Johnstone's Sketches of an Elephant, or Caramello's Theories, Sites, Toposes. Let me know if you want access to a copy of either of those. This week, Jonas will pick up where I left off, with the aim of explaining what a classifying topos is. I will remember to record this session! See you there, Morgan

Hi! Most of you are on holiday, so I have not planned any particular activity tomorrow. However, I wanted to let you know that there is a reading group of _Sheaves in Geometry and Logic, _Mac Lane and Moerdijk's introduction to topos theory, planned at IRIF in the afternoon: 2pm in Room 3052 at IRIF, on the third floor of Sophie Germain. I got permission to advertise it from the organiser Vincent Moreau, and Jad intends to go, so you can meet there if you intend to go. Enjoy!

Meeting tomorrow

Good morning, I have booked B107 from 10:30 tomorrow for the next meeting of the Category Theory working group. I have received no concrete suggestions of what we should do next, and have not had time to organize for anyone to give a presentation. As such, this will be an open-floor meeting, where anyone can either present a topic of recent interest or pose questions to the group. A demain, Morgan

Dear Denis-Charles Cisinski, I attach a review of your joint book project, which was written collectively with participants in a reading group at Université Sorbonne Paris Nord (named in the document). Please share it with your coauthors; we hope it will contribute to the improvement of future iterations of this important work. Best regards, Morgan ROGERS
