Hi, While there are no specific plans arranged, I would like to see anyone who can make it tomorrow for an informal discussion of any topics around category theory that have arisen in your research or study so far this semester. I'll be in B107 from 10:30am with the BBB on https://bbb.lipn.univ-paris13.fr/b/rog-vao-uwm-s2j Please do send me a message if you have a proposal for the working group next week! See you there, Morgan

Réunion informelle demain

Hi! Tomorrow is a holiday, but in case you feel like doing some category theory anyway, I will be discussing _Quantifiers as adjoints_ with my visitor Aidan Evans tomorrow (Tuesday) morning from 10:30 in B107. I'll activate the BBB (https://bbb.lipn.univ-paris13.fr/b/rog-vao-uwm-s2j) in case anyone wants to join. For context, Aidan works in descriptive complexity theory, where adding quantifiers to the logic describing a class of words over some alphabet (viewed as finite models of a particular relational theory) allows one to define classes of languages whose recognition problems can be identified with certain complexity classes. I want to know if the quantifiers that he works with can be contextualized as adjoint functors à la Lawvere. It will be an informal meeting, but drop by if you're curious! See you tomorrow, Morgan

--- The next GdT will take place tomorrow morning at 10:30 AM in B107 and also on BBB (return to the usual URL). For want of a better idea, I plan to explain the concept of (pre-)cohesive topos. I would like to present the open problem in this area that I mentioned during the planning session, but there will also be some generally useful insights on different types of topos. See you tomorrow! Morgan
