Teaching:
Département informatique – Institut Galilée
Address: Campus de Villetaneuse – Université Sorbonne Paris Nord
The Computer Science Department of Institut Galilée contributes to different programs and curricula:
Bachelor’s, Master’s, graduate school, Sup’Galilée engineering school. The recruited person will be part of the Computer Science Department. The recruited will give lectures in different areas of computer science at all levels, particularly in the basic courses.
The department seeks lecturers in many domains, more specifically in object oriented programming,
advanced databases, operating systems, and system administration. The ability to deliver courses in
several of these specific areas will be mandatory. The recruited person is expected to get involved in
the department duties through pedagogic responsibilities such as course and student responsibilities.

Research:
Laboratoire d’Informatique de Paris Nord (UMR CNRS 7030)
The Laboratoire d’Informatique de Paris-Nord (LIPN – CNRS UMR 7030) is composed of five teams focusing on machine learning, combinatorial optimization, combinatorics, logics, verification, and language processing.
LIPN is one of the three research laboratories of the MathSTIC consortium (CNRS FR 3734) together with the mathematics department (LAGA – CNRS UMR 7539) and the signal processing department (L2TI – EA 3043).
The research of the CALIN (combinatorics) team of LIPN deals with all aspects of combinatorics (analytic, geometric, and algebraic combinatorics), and its applications (in particular to physics and algorithms). The team is also involved in the “complexities” transversal theme at LIPN. Its permanent members (4 full professors, 5 assistant professors, and 5 CNRS researchers) publish every year about thirty articles in top-level scientific journals.
The CALIN team is recruiting an assistant professor in combinatorics whose research interests fit with the team’s scope of activity. Research profiles in geometry, topology, and /or algorithms are particularly welcome but applications of candidates with interests in physics or other branches of computer science are also strongly encouraged.
