Research

The research carried out at Laboratoire d’Informatique de Paris-Nord (LIPN – CNRS UMR 7030) is organized around six groups and includes machine learning, combinatorial optimization, design and analysis of combinatorial models at the interface of physics geometry and algorithmics, foundations of computation and formal verification of systems, natural language processing and knowledge representation.
In addition, LIPN is one of the laboratories of the MathSTIC Research Federation, which brings together LIPN, the Mathematics laboratory (LAGA) and the Information Transfer and Processing laboratory (L2TI). Finally, its RCLN group (Representation of Knowledge and Natural Language) contributes to LabEx “Empirical Foundations of Linguistics” (EFL).
LIPN is seeking a Full Professor whose research profile may fit within the following topics, in order of priority: deep learning for natural language processing (RCLN group); foundational aspects of machine learning (A3 group); any existing research topic in one of the other research groups of the lab (AOC, CALIN, logic, verification).
The appointee will be expected to play a leading role in the development of regional, national and international collaborations, both with academic institutions and with industrial research centers.
