Let thoose link on picture to visit us we gave the universe one out- if grant found a job he loved before springtime, we'd stay put. even though we wanted to go to cali really bad, and even though grant had been looking for a different job for a long time. well, as it turns out, it was me who needed her the most. i think if the test of the greatest among us is the one who will be the servant, than penny wins in this house...ok, animal people...i get it. i really really get it. Off to the kindergarten valentine party she is my best babysitter for cate. she takes turns with me putting cate to bed and being her pillow. but the pattern is still available. cause that would make me happy. project 31 is rolling along. i have donations for every single item i need for the 31 newborn kits and lots of fabric donations and i will sew until there are 31 baby quilts too! thank you SO much, i was overwhelmed by the awesome response. packages are starting to arrive! i will be sure to post some pictures when i get it all together and ready to take to the humanitarian center. my heart is happy. we lived on a corner in a typical o.c. tract neighborhood. orb i went to the fabric store tonight in search of prints to make some new spring scarves with. some will probably end up in the shop, too. i just love this look. also, i love toast (the catalog and the cooked bread). cate: what did you play on the computer, then? and i cheat, like, alot. well, usually i ease up on weekends. but i feel so crappy and bloated again that i can't wait to start eating right on monday but i have kind of had to tell myself, this is just the new lifestyle. and if i want to indulge every now and again i'm going to. cause i'd rather die than not be able to have some chips and guac or a slice of cake every now and again. so if i eat like this 90% of the time then i've noticed that my body or the scale doesn't mind if i wander in my choices a bit the other 10%. exercising everyday helps with this, too. i feel like it's a great trade off- feeling great and a regular period for a little self control. plan to be surprised. ok. it's hard to stop. i love every song. goal: peaceful nights, productive days refined sugar will be your enemy till you die. all kits are shipped. phew. it was the first time i realized that things don't always go how you think they will. and that it all can turn out better than you imagined. cate: did you love disney games on the computer when you were five? i do have one faithful companion who is braving the germs: penny the pug russell. well, just as we were making preparations to get moving, grant was granted that job he wanted right here in utah. i guess we're staying put (sorry shellie, i wanted to live by you and drive to see ray and the beach on weekends real bad). they make me happy. she didn't want to print off her name- signing was a must. me, 1982 where are neighborhoods like that anymore? with bushes big enough to hide in? and kids that go around the block together all afternoon? and normal sized houses? and the old winkfields next door? ok, i don't need the winkfields. but i'd sure love to give my kids the rest. and how every plan i've ever made has been reconstructed into something harder and better than what i laid out as my own agenda. just a phone call one night. she had an aneurysm. and although this was a surprise of the worst kind, it was the most spiritual time of my life. much good and understanding has come through that loss. remember how i was so proud that my room was clean and i was knitting? well, i still am.
