Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to inform you that the French National Research Agency (ANR), France and the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India has launched an Franco-Indian call for joint research and innovation project proposals in "Applied Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence” 2026.

The aim of the Franco-Indian call for proposals is to strengthen Franco-Indian cooperation on topics combining Applied Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence: Artificial Intelligence in the service of Applied Mathematics, but also Mathematics as science for Artificial Intelligence.

This joint Call for Proposals invites Scientists/ Engineers/ Technologists / Faculties working in universities and other Academic institutions; R&D institutions/ laboratories having adequate infrastructure and facilities to carry out R&D work. This joint call will support research addressing the  four broad thematic areas, including the  related subtopics: 

• Mathematical Foundations of AI
• Theoretical foundations of Optimization and AI
• Mathematics for safe, trustworthy and reliable AI
• AI Modeling for PDEs and PDEs Modeling for AI 

Last date of submission: April 20th 2026, 5:00 pm (IST)
