Résumé : I will give an introduction to, and describe recent research on the multi-type TASEP on a ring. This is a Markov process on permutations given by randomly sorting (cyclically) adjacent letters in the permutation at hand. The model is motivated both by physical and combinatorial considerations. The stationary distribution has a nice description in terms of the multi-line queues discovered by Ferrari and Martin.
